The season of "UME" (Japanese apricot blossoms) is coming soon.
We can wear a kimono with a pattern of only ume blossoms through the year.
But in the case of a pattern of ume blossoms with branches, we can wear only in the ume-blossom season.
It's a long-established custom of Japanese Kimono.
I like patterns of ume blossoms with branches.
In ume-blossom season, I'm going to wear the kimono coordination below.
This kimono has patterns of ume blossoms with branches.
P.S.
It was really hard for me to write this post.
Can you understand my English?
I love ume with branches too, it's so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteYes, it's beautiful!
DeleteI forgot, but I actually have a fukuro obi with ume branches! I like to pair it up with dark purple iromuji for a special winter event (too bad I don't have any events to go to).

It's beautiful! I think the outfits will look great on you. :)
DeleteI love Ume... and yes your english is quite good and fairly easy to understand. Keep it up! XD
ReplyDeleteThank you! I feel more at ease writing English.
DeleteWhat flower is that on your obi? is it ume also? Your English is superb!
ReplyDeleteI guess it is camellia. But I think it was drawn to look also like different flower, in order to tie this obi in any season.
DeleteI guess it is camellia. It looks like a different flower. Some obis have such a fuzzy pattern in order to be tied this obi in any season.
DeleteI have an ooburisode with ume and branch. I hope I can wear an ensemble with the furisode in the near future :). Is the obi wine red or red in colour? In my screen it looked like red wine.
